Just as the name implies, bass boats were originally created, and are still primarily used, for bass fishing. They are the most commonly used boats for bass competitions. This is not to say that you cannot fish for other species. Bass boats are also great for catching Catfish, Crappie, Bowfin, Gar, Shad and Bluegill.
High-performance bass boats, like the FXR21 Apex, are light, yet strong. They have mod-v hulls, characterized by their pointed bow and flatter stern. This all aids in their speed and agility.
The bass boat is a freshwater fishing boat that is not meant for much else. There are some watersports that can be performed and day cruising in an option, but the limited seating and low sides make it less than optimal for guests, especially children. They are best used inland, on lakes, rivers and inlets.

Its shallow profile, large casting decks and dual console set up make for a perfect skinny water fishing machine. While it’s 21ft in length and 8ft in width you can fit up to 5 people on the boat, but if you are looking for an optimal angling experience, we recommend sticking with about 2-4 fisherman at a time.
